4. Next Steps
Every new membership is on a trial basis for the first 30 days. The 30 day period starts once the Membership Agreement is signed and submitted. During this 30 day trial, a new member is required to attend two Counter Culture Lab zoom events scheduled on Meetup.com. At any point during this time any member can block a new membership. Once the 30 day trial is over, an existing CCL member will need to vouch for the new member at one of our zoom working meetings, or by sending an email to cultlabsboard@googlegroups.com. The new member will be notified via email about their membership status. When approval is granted, the member will have access to a locker and 24/7 building access as COVID permits. Full vaccination is required of each member for access to CCL. Proper mask wearing is required at all times inside the Omni Commons building.
All new members will need to take our online safety quiz (email safety@counterculturelabs.org to get a link!) and set up a member payment plan before being able to work in the wet lab or participate in other ways. New members who intend to work in the lab but don't have prior wet lab experience will need to schedule some time with an existing CCL member to assure they can work properly and safely in the lab.
